A good wine, is a wine YOU love

I don’t consider myself a connoisseur. Don’t get me wrong, I love to learn about wine. However, there are people who are very knowledgeable about wine. Who followed courses, have put in the work and earned a title to reflect their excellent wine knowledge and skills. All praise to them.

To me, wines are to be FELT.

When I get a great smile on my face, a feeling of joy and bliss, then I know…this is a good wine to ME. Taste, as we know, is a very personal thing. The indicator for me is when my taste buds do a HAPPY DANCE and every fiber in my being is screaming YES!

In the Okanagan Valley there are plenty of amazing wineries where you can book a wine tasting (a lot also allow walk-ins, but if you want to secure a spot and you are able to make a reservation, I would definitely recommend doing so). Most tastings include 4 to 5 wines and on top of that, some wineries allow you to hand pick the selection of wines yourself.

The fun thing about these tastings is that you taste different wines and can let your taste buds do the talking. Is there a wine where your taste buds are going WILD in a very good way, then you have yourself a winner! A wine YOU love!

Go to the wine shop afterwards and extend your taste buds RIDE at home or save it for a later date. Buckle up, here we GOOO. 🙂
