Lovely Valentine themed experiences in the Okanagan

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, my heart beats a little faster. So I’ve put on my pink, heart-shaped glasses and collected some lovely Valentine themed experiences for you in the Okanagan Valley. And don’t forget, you don’t necessarily have to limit your romantic and kind gestures to Valentine’s Day itself.

Let’s be honest, you have simple so much more love to give and receive than only one day a year, right? And there are so many people around you with whom you can share a heartwarming experience.

Wine tour covered in chocolate

Chocolate is a sweet gift and a crowd pleaser. Pair this with tasting wine and you have yourself a winner. Curated by wineries themselves, prepare yourself for some amazing pairings. The Westside Wine Trail presents ‘Sip with your sweetheart’ on February 10th & February 11th. Thirteen (!) West Kelowna wineries offer chocolate-paired wine tastings. A ticket gives you entry to participating wineries on one of the above dates. I already purchased mine!

Elevated Dining Experience on February 14

Think of candlelight, a glass of bubbles to start and other lovely touches. You’ll be assured of amazing food and options for wine pairings. Do I hear angels sing?

Home Block Restaurant, CedarCreek Estate Winery, Kelowna. They also offer a three-course lunch on Valentine’s Day.
BLOCK ONE Restaurant, 50th Parallel Estate, Lake Country.

A romantic wine tasting experience for two

I got you. CedarCreek Estate Winery offers a Valentine’s Day Tasting for two. A great feature of this Valentine experience is that you can request a song of your choice before arrival. Talking about a great surprise. This experience runs from Feb 9th till Feb 14th.

Do you think love is blind?

Frind Estate Winery (West Kelowna) organizes a great experience called ‘Love is Blind’ Wine and Cheese event. Fun and educational. Bring along a fellow wine and cheese lover. February 10th or February 17th.

The gift of Relaxation

A great way to spend time together is to unwind and relax at Löyly floating sauna. In the core of downtown Kelowna, right on the lake, you can spend time in a sauna and take a cold plunge. You have the option to book a private session to have the place to yourself. There is room for up to 6 guests.

Ever experienced a session in a salt cave? I have and it was so soothing. Visit Room & Pillar Spa in Kelowna. You can also book a couples massage in the cave.

Something Sweet for your Sweetheart

And what about creating a lovely moment at home? With a bottle of your favorite sparkling BC wine and some delicious treats from local vendors.

Bubbly suggestions:
Cipes Brut NV, Summerhill Pyramid Winery
Frind Sparkling Brut
Odyssey White Brut, Gray Monk

You can present the sparkling wine in a beautiful glass with some fresh strawberries in it.

Brea Co. , Kelowna (two locations) has limited-edition cookies. Amazing heart shaped cookies, they are truly the sweetest you’ve ever seen. Give them a call to order.

Karat Chocolate in Kelowna has some amazing pastries and chocolate, their Valentine feature ‘Raspberry Neapolitan’  is to fall in love with.

With love,

Coraline
